WIlhel Sage Is 4!
Amongst the newborn Phase, midnight feeds, sleep deprivation, and caring for a toddler, raising two children under age 2 felt arduous. But somehow we are here. We have made it to the preschool stage- I have a 4-year-old daughter. She challenges me daily, and it seems to have been this way since conception. See, pregnancy was difficult, I was constantly nauseated; I was in pain, and the pregnancy weight packed on like a ton of bricks, unlike my first. Induction was what brought her into this world. She seemed quite comfortable, despite me feeling otherwise. Thankfully with an epidural, she transcended earthside successfully.
I’ve watched and admired her closely, and like all moms; I am simply amazed. The bond I’ve envisioned has been formed, I am her rock, her confidant, and her comfort, we are a mother-daughter team. While my parents and grandma have raised me exceptionally well, I want to raise her differently. I want her to know that she belongs, she can own any room that she walks into and she should wear her crown gracefully. She can be strong, yet vulnerable, I want to support and love her choices, for that’s where happiness lies.
I don’t know what lies ahead for her, but judging by her theatrical and stirring personality, we are going to have a great time.
Here’s to another year of learning, processing, and having fun.
